"Mousie" I chose to photograph this toy mouse I made because I think it is photogenic. It reminds me of middle school and my time helping with the kindergarteners at school. I also chose a mouse because i wanted to shoot outside and mice live outside. I used crystallize on the second picture and changed the brightness, but kept the edits minimal. I used the tree branch kind of like leading lines.
"Bunny" I chose this bunny because it was Easter and fit the season. I thought it was really cute and kinda looked liked some real bunnies I've seen. Also I took this picture at my grandpa's house and he was bunnies in his yard regularly. So I thought it would be realistic. I used the rule of thirds so my bunny would be balanced. In the second picture I used color halftone.
'Piggy" I chose this pig because it is small and cute and photogenic. In the first photo I used the rule of thirds and shot it towards the end of the day. For the second picture I was forced to use this hideously hideous filter called mezzotint. I shot this one earlier in the day while the sun was all of the way up. I also used the rule of thirds.
"Birdie" I chose this bird to show the love I used to have for webkinz. I put it on the roof because I get real birds on my roof a lot. I took it as the sun was just starting to set. I used the rule of thirds and took it from an angle I like to see birds in real life. The second one I used an ugly pixellated filter.
"Eggie" I took a photo of a dyed egg on easter. It reminded me of a robin egg, so I placed it in the grass because that's where I've found robin eggs before. I changed the brightness in photoshop and used fade in parts of the background. In the second picture, my dog stuck his nose in it because he likes eggs and I think it creates contrast. I focused on the egg to create a balanced picture with the grass background.
